About Me

I am a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a sister, an aunt, a cousin, a friend, a daughter, and a teacher. I am many things, especially a writer. I am a person who loves the Lord. I am a Child of God. I am a Christian under construction. I want to be a Christ-like Christian. I want Jesus to call me "a woman who loves sharing about our Lord and Savior with others."

New journaling idea!

Well, this is not really a new idea. A lot of people do it. But it is new to me. I am excited. I have been "talking" to the Lord about growing more mature in my prayer life. And I have tried all of the many ideas my friends and books on the subject have told me. But I end up getting sidetracked and at times completely derailed. I get so discouraged and just stop trying to be diligent in my prayer life. I mean I fail so miserably to pray for a full hour. I can barely pray for 5 minutes without losing focus. So, what is new that has me all excited again and wanting to pray? A prayer journal.

I know. Prayer journals are not new. Neither is the idea for me to do it. I have tried so many times to keep a prayer journal. But I have always neglected it so. So, the excitement is not from wanting to keep a prayer journal. It comes from the way I am going to keep the journal. The journal type I should say. See, I love to write in journals that don't restrict me. I have been trying to keep prayers in small book like journals. If anyone saw my writing they would understand how a small book would restrict me. I am a large loopy writer. I need large space to write. So, thanks to a new group I have joined (myprayerplanner @ yahoo groups) I have a whole new way of journaling my prayers.

I am going to use a three ring binder. Dividers and tabs. And sections. And well, the large loose leaf paper will not restrict me. I am so excited. I hope the Lord will provide many things to fill it up with. And the first things will be prayers for my friends. You will be in it. I am praying for you.
