I have been journaling since it was called "keeping a diary". I started writing in a diary in grade school, but when I got to high school I had advanced to writing pages and pages to myself. As a way of getting through my adolescent years, I wrote as a form of therapy before it became popular. I am now 51 years old. I can call myself a veteran journaler. The different ways I journal are composition books, store-bought journals, 3-ring binders, spiral notebooks, scrapbook, and computer. I have a journaling buddy. We exchange journals (modern day penpals). I belong to online journaling groups. I speak at different functions and introduce journaling to new people. I am a preschool teacher and include journaling in my daily curriculum. No child is too young to learn to write. No adult is too old to learn to journal. Handwriting is a dying art and I plan on keeping it alive...
