My husband went with my daughter to run some errands. Her truck recently got repossessed and her boyfriend has the car. So daddy is driving her around in our truck. That is another story for another time. Right now I am just excited that I was able to read my emails and reply to some of them. And most of all I am excited I am able to post to my blog today.
There are so many things I would love to write. I have so many prompts and anecdotals that float around in my mind all the time. During my "tweek" hours as my children call it (I am an insomniac and I am usually awake during the hours of 2 to 4 am)I want to get online and write and write and write. But I am not at liberty to have that freedom. So I have to snatch up every opportunity I can to make even the simplest and shortest post. I just received my new book from the blogging for books group. I will be reading it every chance I get. It is called The Shelter of God's Promises. I have started a study on God's promises for the women's group in my church. I chose this new book hoping it would be beneficial to our study. I will do a review as soon as I finish it.
I have not taken advantage of claiming God's promises. There are so many I do not even know about. But I do know that God promises to answer prayers. Sometimes those answers are no and other times he will say not right now. Well, God answered a very big need and answered it immediately. In August I filed bankruptcy. We were able to keep our house and our truck. The only condition was that I paid the bankruptcy lawyer every month and paid our house payment each month. Well, I missed a couple of payments and we received an eviction notice two days ago to vacate the premises in two weeks. Well, we contacted the lawyer and he is going to fix things for us where we can still live in our house. Praise the Lord for answering our prayer in our favor. We did not want to have to move because we have four dogs who would could not take with us. And it would break our hearts to have to put them down. So, we can keep our house and our dogs.
The best part of this answered prayer though is my husband has been attending church with me and well, he prayed the Lord would help us to keep our dogs and well for a new believer it was powerful to know the Lord really does answer prayer. I always know he answers prayer, but this one was super fantastic even for me. How good our Lord is. Even if we had lost our house I know he would have made a way for us to keep our dogs because we have had them for nine years and they are family.
Well, time to do some homework. I told my husband I would do it while he was gone so I would not have to be online when got home and tonite is church so I would have been on the computer late and that upsets him. I have been praying that he will learn to be more understanding about my activities online. The Lord will provide a way I believe it. Just pray for that with me because I know there is power in prayer and with more praying for this it will come to pass.
Thank you all for visiting today. May you find a treasure in the Bible that you can share with all of us. Love Marshel
Posting when I can; praying I can post more often. Wanting to develop a better blog; praying I have more opportunities to turn this into the blog it is meant to be.
