Hubby just finished shoveling the driveway. Took him two days. And while he was shoveling it was snowing. The temps have never gotten above 20. The windchill remains at below zero. He just walked to the store where our truck is parked. He is going to drive it home. He can pull it in the driveway finally. And then there's the radiator hose or something that broke while we were stuck in the snow the other day. So, if he can at least get it home and park it we won't have to worry about it being towed off. We won't be able to check and see what's wrong with it until the weather warms up. Which is not expected anytime soon. They are predicting snow tonight and then more on Sunday and more on Tuesday. So, all of this new snow will pack onto the already four feet snowdrifts we have everywhere. My car port is leaning. I just pray the weight of the snow will not cause it to fall down onto my truck. And then there is the piles of snow on the roof of the house we are watching. Plus snow blew in the attic (a vent is on the side of the house) and now I have about six holes in my bedroom ceiling leaking. Bowls on the floor catching it. Just praying my ceiling will not fall in. It is near my computer and that will not be good. My washing machine is froze up. But the sink in the kitchen and the bathtub is still dripping. Heater is blaring so we are warm. And praise the Lord we all still have power. That is the most important. We can handle the blizzards and snow, but it is the power outages that makes living daily very hard. With my asthma I can't afford to get sick. I am not doing anything to overexert myself so I will not have an attack. I have my nebulizer so that is a positive thing.
My daughter's car is still stuck in Tulsa. 60 miles away and can't get to it because our truck is broke down. The transportation dept is going to tow it away at her expense, but at least it will be uncovered from all the snow and unstuck. Right now I am trying to find a way to get her to the ER. She has been sick for two weeks now with high fever. The Indian hospital just say she had the flu and has not even took blood work for lab or a UA. Just told her to use OTC meds. So, she has been in her bed since Saturday. The last time I could check on her was Monday. Then the blizzard hit and my truck got stuck. It is tearing me up not being able to get to my child. Anyway, I plan on calling the fire dept and seeing if they will help me get her to the hospital. She has not even ate anything in days because I am not able to get to her. Yes, she is an adult, but she is my baby girl and she needs her mother and I cannot even get to her. But I will get a ride sometime today. I will.
The grandbabies are with their dad this week. I cannot call and talk to them. It is hard not knowing if they are safe and warm. I know they want to go outside and build a snow man, but with the windchill factor being below zero that would be crazy. And their father is just crazy enough to send them out there. I pray they do not suffer from the cold. Hypothermia can set in so fast. I will see them next week and hopefully we will be able to build a snowman together.
Well, the snow is still falling and I am going to crawl under the comforter and just watch tv. Hope all is well and all are warm. Love Marshel
Posting when I can; praying I can post more often. Wanting to develop a better blog; praying I have more opportunities to turn this into the blog it is meant to be.
