About Me

I am a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a sister, an aunt, a cousin, a friend, a daughter, and a teacher. I am many things, especially a writer. I am a person who loves the Lord. I am a Child of God. I am a Christian under construction. I want to be a Christ-like Christian. I want Jesus to call me "a woman who loves sharing about our Lord and Savior with others."

God is Awesome!

Have you ever wondered how the Lord will answer a prayer?

I know the Lord answers prayers but there are times I just don't see how He will do it.  So I don't know how to pray for things and that is when I ask my friends to just pray for me.  I tend to jump the gun when I get discouraged or impatient and start to manipulate the situation to get things going.  I don't wait on the Lord for His answers.  This is because I just don't see how He can answer things in the time frame or the way I think it should be done.

But this time I really had no idea how the Lord would answer my prayers so I just asked everyone to pray.  I was not in any way shape or form going to manipulate the Lord's work.  So, I did not request any answer that I wanted.  I did not ask for help financially.  I just wanted you all to pray that I would find a job and I was going to accept the fact I was going to be without the phone/internet.

But the Lord had other plans.  He prompted an online friend to help me.  I was so amazed at the offer.  I was so grateful for the blessing of this wonderful person.  To follow the prompting of the Lord and listen to His calling, this person is more than an answer to a prayer.  This person is an angel right here on earth.

See, this person had no idea that she was doing more than paying for my phone bill.  She was instrumental in encouraging me again.  I was getting so depressed and discouraged.  I was feeling my spiritual walk beginning to fall flat on my face.  I was just feeling as if the Lord was not hearing my cry anymore.

He got my attention again.  He showed me that He is listening and He is real.  And that He cares.  He prompted this person to help me and for that I am grateful.  I pray I will be able to help someone in return one day.  I want to be used of the Lord and I know for that to begin I must be willing to truly listen to the Lord's leading and be willing to go forth when He prompts me.

To my sisters in Christ, thank you for your prayers.  The power of prayer is so great and God is awesome.  I am so blessed to have so many sisters in Christ.  I am part of an incredible family.  Thank you for your love and support.  Please call on me when you need prayer.  I offer my friendship and love to you.  May you know you are loved.

Your sister in Christ, Marshel
